How to Request a Valve Quote: Specification Checklist
Quick answer
A comparable valve quotation needs duty, fluid, pressure-temperature conditions, connections, materials, testing and delivery data as well as type and size. A common technical basis makes price and dispatch dates easier to compare.

Which process data should come first?
Give each line item a tag and duty such as isolation, control or non-return. State fluid, phase, composition and solids. Separate normal and design conditions and maximum differential pressure. Control valves also need minimum, normal and maximum flows with corresponding inlet/outlet pressures. Identify units and gauge or absolute pressure.
How do you complete the valve specification?
Specify DN/NPS, PN or Class, design standard, ends and face-to-face length. Separate body, trim, seat, bellows and gasket materials as applicable. For actuation, add supply, signal, stroke time and fail position. A replacement nameplate helps, but confirm that the new service is actually the same.
When should testing and documents be agreed?
Agree shell and seat tests, acceptance criteria, emissions requirements and material documents at quotation stage. Witnessing, report language and tagging can affect the schedule. A standard named in a heading does not mean every special test is included. Identify included and separately priced items.
How should price and fast delivery be compared?
Compare offers on identical materials, tests, actuation and documents. Provide quantity, delivery destination, acceptance of partial shipments and required date. A stocked body may not be a fully assembled, actuated and tested valve ready to ship. Written dispatch dates and declared technical deviations matter alongside unit price.
Sending an enquiry to Venturi
Use the quotation form to identify the product group, contact details and process data. Ask about stock options for metal-seated gate and bellows globe valves, and short-lead-time metal-seated butterfly options. Mark unknown data “to be confirmed”. Model, quantity and dispatch date are agreed in the written offer after technical matching.

|---|---|
| Process | Fluid / temperature / pressure / maximum Δp / duty |
| Product | Type / DN-NPS / PN-Class / ends / length / materials |
| Delivery | Quantity / required date / destination / tests / documents |
Frequently asked questions
Can size alone give a firm price?+
Size alone is insufficient. Clarify at least type, class, connection, material and quantity.
Should dispatch be confirmed for stock items?+
Yes. Configuration, quantity, extra testing and preparation affect readiness to ship.
